NBC Wins Television Rights for Olympics for Next Four Games

Breaking news has NBC picking up American broadcast rights for the next four Olympic games.

Six new events added to Winter Olympics

Six new medals will be given out at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. Women's Ski Jumping and and Ski Halfpipe will join Men's Ski Jumping and snowboard Halfpipe respectfully. Also added are three bizarre combo events: team figure skating, Biathlon mixed relay and Luge team relay.

No actual new sports, of course, but more medals for existing sports. Women's Ski Jumping joins a Winter Olympic mainstay previously only open to men. Ski Halfpipe (for both men and women) will join the popular Snowboard Halfpipe.
