Team Handball Response

Thanks to all who replied to my earlier post that mentioned team handball. I admit I have little knowledge of the game, having only seen it played by skilled players once. During my short career as a substitute teacher, I led an elementary PE class with handball as the activity. Of course, the ball, nets and court were not regulation. (the floor painted with only basketball and volleyball lines)
I stand corrected about the distinctiveness and complexity of the game. I suppose the biggest problem in learning the game is the few opportunities to play and the almost complete absence of coverage in the American media. I have never seen the game on television, even the obscure cable channels. Newspapers do not cover it outside of the Olympics, and even then only brief reports are given.
Thanks again to all who replied. Please reply to this post any possible places to find handball media coverage and places where games may be seen live.

Thanks for keeping an open mind. There were some Handball matches shown on US TV during the last olympics and there are web broadcasts from time to time at eurohandball.com of club matches. You can keep informed on the sport at www.teamhandballnews.com
