Dream USA World Cup team

The biggest reason why a large, prosperous and sports mad country such as the USA does as poorly as it does in the World Cup is because our sports passion is focused elsewhere. If we did not have American football and focus our attention on soccer as much of the rest of the world does, we would be dominant. What if all the great athletes playing American football now grew up playing soccer? Consider this proposed team:

Midfielders: Brett Farve (captain), Marvin Harrison, Vince Young, Larry Johnson

Defenders: Champ Bailey, DeMeco Ryans, Tom Brady,
